The Tallahassee Police Department typically responds to most car accidents within city limits.

Some of these options are more convenient than others depending on the circumstances, so be sure to select the one that works best for you.
By far the easiest way to get an accident report is to order one online. Thankfully, the Tallahassee Police Department (TPD) has a form on its website that you can fill out and submit in as little as five minutes.
Keep in mind that you may need to also send a fee of $0.15-0.20 per page if your report is more than seven pages long. However, the first seven pages of your report are free.
Currently, the TPD accepts payment only in the form of cash, check, or money order.

What You Need When Requesting a Tallahassee Traffic Accident Report
To help the Records Unit locate the correct report, there are certain pieces of information you should include, such as:
- Your name, address, email, and phone number;
- The date, time, and location of the car accident; and
- The case number provided by the responding officer.
Keep in mind that the TPD requires proof that you are an owner of one of the vehicles involved in the accident. You may satisfy this requirement by providing a copy of the title, registration, or insurance card with a form of ID when you submit your request.
